- Offering too many sales and not pricing your goods accordingly. We are here to make a profit, right?
- You didn’t proofread your copy. Nothing screams unprofessional more than bad grammar and spelling.
- Using stock photos instead of actual photos of your products. This is especially true for dropshippers. Create your own content that’s on brand.
- Relying on standard product descriptions and not writing your own. Don’t rely on the basic descriptions from suppliers—especially if you’re a dropshipper. Stand out from the competition and speak in your unique voice.
- Being nonchalant about shipping times. Ship it when you sell it—or as soon as realistically possible.
- Ignoring privacy and privacy policies, especially if you’re in the EU. Don’t put your business at risk of being sued or getting in trouble with the government.
- Lacking the things that make your shop credible. Add an About Us page, a contact page, and essentials such as a shipping policy.
- Having a design and code that aren’t accessible to tools such as screen readers. Accessibility is not optional. An inaccessible site excludes customers and can create legal risk.
